Divorce Myth: Do Mothers Automatically Get Custody in Ohio?
One of the most common misconceptions in family law is that mothers automatically receive custody during a divorce. While that may have been a common assumption decades ago, it is not how Ohio courts make custody decisions today. The Short Answer: No Ohio law does not give mothers an automatic advantage in custody cases.
